A home decor refresh is just what everyone needs in January, am I right?! The thing that you don't need that often goes along with it is the added cost. We've just come out of Christmas, which is typically a big spending month for everyone. Not like I need to tell you that. So, since it's Thursday's three I've come up with three (with a sneaky fourth option) affordable home decor refresh ideas that are both affordable and easy for you to tackle.

This one doesn't need much in the way of explanation, does it?! Homemade gluten-free pasta. I think it means, just make it. Run to your amazon cart, get a pasta making machine, and make this homemade gluten-free pasta ASAP. Why, you ask?! Well, simple. It's insanely good. You cannot tell the difference - says my husband, who eats regular non-gluten-free pasta. See?! Not just me, who hasn't had a real pasta noodle (intentionally) in over ten years - crazy!

Cheers, everyone! Happy New Year! We made it out of 2020. I have an unpopular opinion, but I didn't think 2020 was so horrible. I preface that by saying we're fortunate not to have lost anyone to COVID, and I hated (still do - still can't see them!) not being able to see my family in person. A lot of good came out of it for me, which I touch on in my Luxury Must-Haves post. In this month's Q&A, I was asked a great question: what do you intend to do to be better and do better this year?

As far as I'm aware, most people do not intend to make a Christmas dinner this year, which is understandable. Most people are in their second rounds of lockdown and cannot see family or friends for the holidays. We are in the same boat as most of the globe, but I'm still a sucker for tradition, and I intend to make a regular Christmas dinner for the three of us. I am insane, yes. But don't forget - I did get my turkey roaster, which needs to be used!

Okay, I promised you guys the answer to my two truths and a lie post. If you're itching to know, skip to the bottom of this post because I'm first going to run through these D.I.Y holiday gift tags. I went very rustic with my holiday wrapping this year: cue craft paper, dried oranges, greenery, twine, yarn, and, most importantly, these D.I.Y holiday gift tags. I find them to be crazy cute, so easy, and guess what?! Just like all of my other D.I.Y's this year, this art project is also versatile. Which I will tell you about further down this post.

I think you're wondering what the heck I am up to this week for Thursday's three: two truths and a lie. I would be wondering if I were you. I've gone this route as I've made a few assumptions: The first being, since we are SO close to Christmas, everyone is product'ed out. Second, most people can't be with their extended families this year (we are included in this "most people" scenario as it's illegal here). It sucks a lot. As someone working on positivity and gratitude for things we do have, I wanted to reminisce on our traditions and make them into a fun little game for everyone. Therefore, this week's Thursday's three is two truths and a lie: Christmas in California edition.

Remember how two days ago I told you it was my second-to-last D.I.Y? Yeah, so I lied. Today's D.I.Y Clay Ornaments are my second-to-last holiday D.I.Y because you get one more on Sunday - lucky ducks. Plus, I wanted to share these D.I.Y Clay Ornaments with you to give you ample time to make them as they are so stinking cute and easy.

Well, whoops, November zoomed past at warp speed, and as a result, I completely blanked on posting a Q&A for the month. Luckily with this, it's never too late to roll with it, and I've decided to lump the November and December Q&A into one! The last two Q&A's were for September and October, and you guys had some really great questions for those months. You didn't let up for this November and December Q&A either. Which is fabulous, and I am grateful you want to know all of these fun things about me!

We are coming close to the last D.I.Y of the holidays with this D.I.Y wood bead garland. This is the second to last D.I.Y I will bring you this year (I'm pretty sure, but nothing is ever a guarantee).  When I started this D.I.Y Wood Bead Garland, I made one too many assumptions about how easy this would be. Don't get me wrong; this can be an incredibly simple D.I.Y if you have all the right tools. I didn't. If I did, these D.I.Y wood bead garland would have been a leisurely walk in the park. Without the right tools, it was more like a rapid jog, which is challenging for someone who hates running in general....A.K.A, me.

It's back! Thursdays Three! This one is special because today is my birthday! Obviously, for one's birthday, you do luxury must-haves as the three items. I would say this also sort of serves as a gift guide if you wanted one for items for YOU. It also serves as a gift guide to share these luxury must-haves with others as your list. I'd probably recommend that approach and then hit up the potential sales after the holidays if you missed out on an epic gift.
