Three Ways to Fold Your Easter Napkins

he Queen of lazy napkin folds has come to the table with three exciting Easter napkin folds. All the pun intended. My typical tri-fold napkin under the plate is officially on hold for the Easter season. I've stepped into the world of bunny ears; I cannot get enough. There are three relatively easy bunny ear napkin folds to share today. Each one will elevate your tablescape. Children, family, friends, and whoever else is coming to Easter dinner will be all over how cute these are. If you're sitting here thinking that your trifold napkin under the plate is NOT on hold, trust me, it should be. If I can tackle each of these folds, you can too!

The Lazy Girl Bunny Ears Easter Napkin Fold

I’ll ease you into the Easter Napkin folds with the lazy girl bunny ears. If your napkin is square, this will work. First, fold your napkin into a triangle – the two kitty-corner corners come together. Roll the tip of the triangle up slightly so it doesn’t poke out. Flip the ends (ears) up and scrunch the napkin together. Tie it 1/3 of the way up using a napkin ring or a simple piece of jute. You want the ears to be tall, floppy, and carefree. The “head” should be a rounder, but also carefree-looking.

Retique it For A Faux Wood Finish

Okay, the solution I was given to making my furniture look like wood was to try Retique it (DISCOUNT CODE BELOW!). I was SO apprehensive about using this Retique it product myself. Although the dresser was only $30, the Retique it came to like $150 Canadian. Was I seriously pouring more into a paint product than I was into the furniture?! Yes, yes I was. And oh was I fully committed. Especially after the wood was so close to being so good after stripping and sanding – minus the damage shown below.

This one is a Samantha Potter original LOL. I’m sure others have done it, but honestly, it’s so simple you could do your own thing and get a simlar look.

The Put Together and Already Prepped Everything Easter Napkin Fold

On the difficulty scale, we are moving one baby step up in the next Easter napkin fold. This one is less haphazard – and requires a little bit of preplanning. See, the sweet bunny ears here have space for an egg. So if you’re hosting brunch, a hardboiled egg could live here perfectly. If that’s not. your style, you could do a decorated Easter egg that one of the children did. If you’re not into either, stick with Easter napkin fold one or three and skip this. This one starts the same as the Lazy Girl Bunny Ears. If your napkin is square, this will work. First, fold your napkin into a triangle – the two kitty-corner corners come together. Roll the napkin up from the tip of the triangle. Curve the roll up and tie it so an egg fits in between.

Inspo via many Pinterst Images. Again, the look seemed pretty easy to achieve.

The I Have My Sh*t Together Easter Napkin Fold

This one may look intimidating, but truth be told if you get it done once, you’ll fly through the rest of them. I do have step-by-step images. Which should help you along the way. If it doesn’t, try Martha Stewart’s instructions which is what I used.

Concept and directions Martha Stewart

Step 1: If your napkin is a square, fold it in half and then half again. If it is a rectangle, fold it into thirds.

Step 2: Take one side and fold the corner up. You want the edge of the fold to come up to the middle of the napkin. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3: With your house shape, fold the bottom into a triangle shape towards the middle. Repeat on the other side.

Step 4: Fold the bottom as you did in step 3 – it’ll be a long triangle (your ears!). Repeat on the other side.

Step 5: Flip your napkin bunny over and fold up the bottom part to form the tail.

Step 6: Flip your napkin bunny over once more and tuck one of the folds into the other so it stays put. There you’ll have your cute bunny ears and tail.
