e are in the home stretch of the One Room Challenge! Week 7 is upon us and I'm sorry to disappoint but I only have the same images from previous weeks to share. Honestly, If I shared more in this home office space, I'd be giving it all away and what fun would next week be?! The grand finale needs to be grand, especially for a spare bedroom/home office zone that has a king sized murphy bed. Am I right or am I right?!

Remembering Where The Home Office / Spare Bedroom Started

It’s pretty clear this space started in a very questionable manner. It wasn’t always this disheveled but it was always neglected. Cold, not cozy at all, and just plain. McGregor’s little office nook you see there was the only area that had some spunk. But I knew since I was turning this into an area that I would be spending many days in, I needed it to have more spunk that that.

The Progress

The most challenging part of this room for me was finding a King-sized murphy bed. I mean we can all agree it’s a massive undertaking but eventually I found a murphy bed kit that was fit for a king. The next part was easy…for me, as I was the one who provided the vision to Nick at NGS Projects and Nick was the lucky one who got to execute my vision.

The Home Office Has Come This Far 

We are looking pretty dang good in the home office / spare room here. We have some decor and finishing touches (rugs, curtains, etc.) to complete but we will be more than ready for next week’s reveal week. It’s come a long long way and I am more than happy with the result. As a reminder, we have our inspiration below. The one thing that’s changed is the rug – I couldn’t share the actual rug that I’m getting for this space as it was part of a new release between Loloi and Amber Lewis. Now that it’s live I can share it and I can also tell you, it’s even better in real life!
