Organize Under the Kitchen Sink like a Pro!

oes the space under your kitchen sink resemble a chaotic jumble of cleaning supplies and random items? Mine did too. I was so excited to change it and make it super aesthetic. I won't lie, it's not overly aesthetic but I also didn't want to change absolutely everything I owned. It is a heck of a lot more organized and with a few simple tricks, you can transform your cluttered zone into a streamlined and functional storage area. Let's get into what I did.

Measure Before Tackling an Organizing Project

I won’t lie, I suck at this. But, I did it anyway and had some concept of what would and wouldn’t work under the sink. I knew I could fit two pull-out organizers, with room to spare for my compost bin. I knew how high those organizers could go. While under my kitchen sink is tall, I opted for the lower pull-out organizers because of cost-effectiveness. I also knew I had room to spare and could add a few little organization items here and there.

What I Opted For to Organize Under the Kitchen Sink

There are so many options for what you could go for to organize under your sink, but here is what I opted for. Please ignore the label for the dishwasher pods… there was zero way to get it on nicely (insert melty face emoji).

1. Pull Out Drawers:

The way I looked at this was I was maximizing accessibility and efficiency by adding pull-out drawers under my sink. I could easily slide items out rather than rummaging through the depths of the cabinet knocking over everything in my path. I opted for the “L” shaped pull-out drawers so I could have taller items on the bottom without spending a fortune on the adjustable ones.

2. Clear Organizers:

I love a good clear organizer. You can corral smaller items like sponges, scrub brushes, etc. into the bins. Plus, the fact they are transparent allows you to quickly locate what you need in each organizer. Also on the clear organizing front is a bin for your dishwasher pods and a glass jug for your cleaning vinegar.

3. Amber Spray Bottles:

I upped my game here. I was using dollarstore spray bottles, but there was no mist option which drove me bonkers. So, I decided to elevate the aesthetic of my under-the-sink cleaning solutions with stylish amber spray bottles. These chic containers minimize visual clutter and add a touch of sophistication to the space. I also snagged some minimalist labels to put on them.

Hooks For Cloths and Towels Under the Kitchen Sink

My last item, that technically I did before was adding a hook for towels under the kitchen sink. I was using a command hook for years but finally upgraded to this gold bar. There was nothing wrong with the command hook, I just don’t think that the towel had the same opportunity to dry nicely. So gold bar for the win.

What do you think, can you take on an under-the-sink organization like this?! It’s not challenging – it just requires a little bit of pre-planning and off you go!
