'm not sure how it happened, but Easter is only two weeks away. I think I have what I need together - although now that I say that out loud I believe the chocolate is in the garage and has potentially melted with the warm weather we've been having. Aside from potentially needing to get new chocolate eggs, my Easter checklist is complete. I had plastic eggs, goodies to fill the eggs, a brunch menu, a dinner menu, and an Easter tablescape. I know some of you reading this might be overwhelmed because you're not yet prepared. Don't worry, I'm not here to stress you out. I'm here to help you with everything you need.
Easter Baskets and Goodies
Big plastic eggs are pure genius and hard to miss. There will be no more finding 2-month-old random tinfoil chocolate eggs around the house. Their downfall is how the options of what we can fit in them are limited. The easy way out is by shoving dollar-store junk into those eggs. That gives me anxiety and becomes super wasteful (someone throws it out – it may or may not be me). We do have some chocolate eggs lined up to fill the plastic eggs for Sloane. Chocolate eggs don’t fill many of the plastic eggs so I also got a little creative. We also have bow hair clips, water toys, and earrings to hide in the bigger eggs. Then we usually do one big basket filled with stuff: a book, PJs, and a toy.
Easter Dinner To Serve on Your Tablescape
Easter Tablescape
Okay, onto my favourite part: the Easter tablescape. Simplicity is my favourite right now. I love a good runner or tablecloth to be doing most of the talking. Mine is from Maison Olive but sold out. For me, neutral dinnerware that can be used for any occasion is also key. If you have storage for Easter-themed dinnerware, I’m jealous. We don’t. However, I do have room for a good old spring napkin. I also bring Easter in by borrowing the girls’ Easter baskets and stuffing them full using gorgeous tulips and baby’s breath. Next, I tossed a few lemons onto the table for another festive pop of colour and BOOM! The easiest Easter tablescape is complete. I almost opted to get some more super cute bunnies for the table, but figure I can add more next year!
There you have it. A few key items to help you navigate your Easter with ease!
