'll admit it. I have a mild rug addiction that I can't seem to kick. A new rug can fully transform your space. I'm in my moody era which means I'm welcoming darker, warmer, and more dramatic tones in all my rugs. Let me tell you - the cozy factor of our home has elevated to an 11/10. These warm rugs are from one of my favourite places to get rugs from - RugsUSA. I wrote my first review of RugsUSA rugs in 2022. The fact that it was two years ago is crazy to think about. Nevertheless, it was time for an updated RugsUSA review so let's get into it.

The RugsUSA Melrose Rug Review
I may be leading with my favourite new RugsUSA Rug as part of this review, but holy moly it is a good one. First of all, it is super high quality. It is 100% wool. It does not shed like the other 100% wool rug I had in the last RugsUSA review post. The Melrose rug has the perfect texture. The moment I unrolled the rug, the warmth came strolling into our primary bedroom thanks to the brown tones in this rug. The RugsUSA Melrose Rug is also nice and thick so you may not even need an additional rug pad. Granted ours is on carpet so I don’t know about any slipping and sliding around on hardwood, tile or laminate.

A Review of the Ivroy Hawthorn Striped Wool Area Rug
The last rug I have to review from RugsUSA today is the Ivory Hawthorn Striped Wool Area Rug. Unlike the rug the Melrose area rug, the Hawthorn is also on the thinner side. I have this one in our basement suite on laminate flooring and it does slip and slide around. I forgot to order the rug pad – but I fixed that and it’s going down today! The quality of this rug is fantastic, and it has a little secret: it’s reversible! So one day if you’re feeling light and airy, you can put the lighter side up. The next day, if you’re feeling a little moody, the darker side faces up. It’s essentially two rugs for the price of one. It just can’t be in two places at once obviously.
In summary, if you’re in the market for any of these RugsUSA rugs, I would recommend every one of them. I have a few more coming soon so I’ll share those for a third RugsUSA review once I have them in hand.
